Hand print Footprint Art Tips
♥ Lets start with the most important of our hand print footprint art tips, make sure that you make them safely. On the floor is a good (safe) place to make a print, or properly strapped in on a change table
♥ There is enough paint in each swab to make more that one print. Make a practice print to start.
♥ If your child is a baby, handprints are harder to make than foot prints, because babies like to curl their fingers and maybe make a little fist when you go to do this.
♥ Try making the hand print footprint art while your baby is sleeping
♥ Have a helper hold your baby’s forearm and place the palm of their other hand on the back of your baby’s. you swab from baby’s palm toward their fingers. Once the palm is coated with paint, make a final swab and with your other hand get the paper in contact with the hand before the fingers have time to curl.
♥ Either bring your child’s hand or foot to your card or other paper on a flat surface, or back up the paper with something light and ridgid, like a small book
♥ You’re making art. Consider making your hand print or footprint on a plain piece of paper. You can make more than one and use your favorite in your card or album
